About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support new clients as they begin their journey with Gusto 401(k)
  • Help small businesses set up their 401(k) plans through timely guidance, clear communication, and education
  • Serve as the first voice and face of Gusto 401(k) for B2B customers via phone and email
  • Monitor onboarding progress and proactively follow up with clients
  • Guide clients through plan setup and use of the Gusto 401(k) platform
  • Explain 401(k) concepts and regulatory requirements accessibly
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance or setup issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams, especially Sales, to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
  • Share client feedback to improve processes and products
  • Manage Talkdesk, Salesforce, Slack, Google Suite, Confluence, and Jira while handling sensitive information carefully

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of customer service or contact center experience
  • 2+ years delivering customer experiences via phone and email
  • B2B SaaS experience preferred
  • Payroll, Employee Benefits, or HR Tech experience is a plus
  • Experience with CX platforms such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, or similar
  • Technical proficiency with multiple platforms
  • Ability to collaborate, take ownership, solve problems, multitask, adapt, and communicate clearly
  • Curiosity about financial services and industry trends
  • Ability to identify customer feedback patterns and translate them into improvements
  • Professional integrity and respectful communication across channels
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent field-related experience
