About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and test infrastructure capabilities for Risk products
Lead complex projects end-to-end from technical design through rollout
Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Design, Data Science, and Operations
Scale Ruby/Rails and TypeScript/React applications
Serve as a domain expert for Risk platform capabilities
Set stakeholder expectations and communicate project updates
Mentor engineers and contribute to a high-performing team
Identify and execute technical debt and quality improvements
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to reliability, security, and performance incidents
Prioritize postmortem action items
Build tools, patterns, and documentation to improve team productivity

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of software development experience
Experience applying AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation
Ability to direct, review, and correct AI-generated work
Experience designing, building, and testing production-quality code and architecture
Experience owning projects end-to-end from technical design through rollout
Experience coordinating with product, design, and data partners
Ability to set technical direction and make tradeoffs between competing priorities
Aptitude for simplifying complex and ambiguous problems
Ability to communicate technical complexity and facilitate informed tradeoffs
Enthusiasm for a collaborative, test-driven environment
Ability to build maintainable, structured, well-documented code
Experience building fault-tolerant, reliable software
