About the role
- Lead development of Gusto’s PEO Benefits strategy and roadmap, including defining the Benefits offering and product requirements
- Work with our carrier partner to define and execute a pilot
- Launch the Gusto PEO Benefits offering and craft a strategy to scale from 1 to 1,000+ customers
- Partner across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, CX, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to uncover insights, validate assumptions, and build alignment
- Accelerate execution by unblocking the team, making trade offs, and ensuring delivery of a high-quality Benefits offering
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Additional professional experience leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives (ideally)
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to connect work across customer needs, product design, internal operations, pricing, and go-to-market
- Experience with PEOs, payroll systems, benefits administration, or bundled HR services (strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- A bias towards action and comfort operating without a clear playbook
- Ability to partner across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, CX, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
