About the role
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure consistent quality and service delivery.
- Monitor vendor performance through regular evaluations and assessments, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Proactively monitor, analyze and manage KPI’s for customers in assigned vertical.
- Conduct frequent telephonic and face-to-face meetings with high volume customers to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Identify potential new vendors and assess their capabilities, reliability, and compatibility with company standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their needs and align vendor services accordingly.
- Resolve any disputes or issues with vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for problem resolution.
- Analyze market trends and vendor offerings to make informed recommendations for vendor selection and management.
- Develop and implement vendor management policies and procedures to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of vendor interactions, contracts, and performance metrics for reporting and analysis.
- Evaluate opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through better vendor management.
- Ensure all vendor activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Coordinate with legal and finance teams to manage vendor contracts and ensure timely payments and renewals.
Requirements
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven track record in managing vendor contracts and agreements.
- Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
- Ability to analyze and interpret vendor performance data.
- Proficiency in vendor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel up to 50% required for vendor site visits and meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in vendor management or a similar role.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Available to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays (preferred).
