About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze, design, develop, test and maintain in-house software applications on IBM System i platform
- Collaborate with users and Business Analysts to develop technical specifications
- Create binding directories, binder source, and service programs
- Troubleshoot application systems errors with users and business partners
- Identify and pursue new technologies and provide insights to management
- Lead department projects for process improvements
- Mentor and train less experienced employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school degree preferred
- Minimum of five years total "hands-on" RPG programming and development experience
- Expert knowledge and fluency with all aspects and versions of RPG and CL on the IBMi
- Knowledge of DB2 native commands, SQL, data centric architecture, design and performance tuning
- General knowledge of Websmart, HTML, javascript, CSS, jQuery, and Bootstrap
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
