About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct new hire training and support management with coaching and additional training for employees needing development
  • Facilitate all-hands training for department and division updates and changes
  • Design, develop, and maintain new hire curriculum and learning materials
  • Serve as a Loss Mitigation subject matter expert and communicate accurate information cross-functionally
  • Provide performance and progress feedback to trainees, employees, and leaders
  • Incorporate relevant feedback into training curricula
  • Review and audit loan-servicing documents, claims, modification figures, notices, appeal verbiage, and timelines for regulatory compliance
  • Review and audit income, expense, and qualifying information for compliance
  • Schedule and hold monthly mediations and personal meeting sessions as needed
  • Establish, document, and maintain department processes and procedures
  • Analyze performance metrics and develop coaching strategies
  • Identify departmental best practices and inefficiencies and recommend improvements to leadership
  • Cross-train employees interdepartmentally until proficient
  • Manage training administration, including scorecards, materials, and system access
  • Collaborate with Guild University and other Trainers
  • Support heavy production days as needed
  • Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required
  • Minimum one year experience in Guild Loan Servicing
  • Minimum two years' experience in mortgage training and experience in any of Guild's systems; OR minimum three years' experience in training or public speaking-related roles
  • Prior experience in training/teaching, both virtual and in-person, or presentation experience required
  • Prior experience developing training content and technical writing required
  • Ability to coach less experienced team members, respond to questions, and build capabilities
  • Ability to work in an emotionally demanding role requiring patience, empathy, and sensitivity
  • Ability to facilitate learning solutions using adult learning theory
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new tools and techniques quickly
  • Strong interpersonal, multitasking, project management, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication and public speaking skills
  • Highly proficient use of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated
  • Ability to coordinate meetings and set up training sessions
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
  • Ability to adhere to and apply established process protocols
  • Availability to work Monday–Friday during the business week
