About the role
- Manage and assist in projects under the EPMO Portfolio, including projects initiated through product teams, strategic projects, and technology
- Assist in development and managing project artifacts and processes including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Define project objectives, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Execute project planning and tracking, document and communicate project statuses and risks, including standard project status reports and ad hoc communication as assigned.
- Manage change control through identification and evaluation of impact on proposed and necessary business or technical changes to scope, requirements, designs or plans.
- Keep management and key stakeholders informed on a timely basis on project progress, status and/or concerns to ensure that expectations are met.
- Assist in managing and coordinating the implementation of IT projects.
- Assist in development of detailed proposals to support Guild projects.
- Facilitate onboarding contractors for projects.
- Build relationships and work closely with IT and business leaders and staff.
- Maintain up to date RAID log to document project risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions.
- Identify, assess, and manage program risks and issues.
- Analyze project delivery performance metrics, develop KPIs, and project reporting against project milestones, budget and other plan expectations.
- Contribute to development and maturity of the Guild EPMO project management practice through development of tools, templates, processes, and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management or related field to the position or equivalent, required.
- Minimum three years' experience as an IT professional.
- Minimum of one to three years of project management experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Prior experience in Mortgage Banking or Financial Services systems preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Working knowledge of Jira and Tempo tools, or similar IT management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based programs, and third-party software applications required.
