About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure completion of monthly accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses and gross margin analysis.
- Prepare, analyze, and review general ledger account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.
- Provide in-depth analysis to assist in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as state and local compliance requirements including sales tax.
- Perform accounting and financial analyses to identify key trends and support critical estimates, such as accruals and reserves.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and serve as a business partner to aid in the preparation and reporting of financial results.
- Provide audit assistance- supporting information, PBC schedules, and explanations as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Corporate Finance Team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong month-end close experience within a multi-entity business environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with a major ERP system such as Sage Intacct, Net Suite, or similar
