About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and perform DFIR investigations including host forensics, network traffic analysis, malware handling/triage, log review, and BEC analysis
  • Drive engagement communication, time management, and coordination throughout the investigative lifecycle
  • Author comprehensive deliverables covering technical findings, recommendations, business impact, and remediation strategies
  • Perform advanced mission-critical reactive and proactive assessments
  • Collaborate with peers across concurrent engagements
  • Use automation, orchestration, and scripting to improve efficiency and enable new capabilities
  • Contribute to integrating open-source and commercial tools into DFIR processes
  • Strengthen relevant skills and knowledge to stay current in information security
  • Foster client relationships by providing support, information, and guidance during engagements
  • Help evolve the DFIR Practice in response to emerging threats and client needs
  • Maintain availability outside standard business hours during high-severity incident surges
  • Participate in on-call rotation as appropriate
  • Identify and address gaps in engagement delivery, processes, and client communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7 years of experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on incident response investigation experience
  • 6+ combined years of IT and information security experience
  • Proficiency in host forensics, network traffic analysis, malware handling/triage, log review, and BEC analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present technical findings to technical and managerial audiences
  • Creativity and adaptability for complex problems
  • Willingness to embrace emerging technologies, including AI tools
  • Up to 20% travel
  • Sedentary work
  • Substantial wrist, hand, and/or finger movement for at least 8 hours daily
  • Close visual acuity for computer terminal viewing and/or extensive reading for at least 8 hours daily
