About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead copywriting efforts for the USCIS organization within Guidehouse's Defense and Security Segment
  • Lead a workstream involving writing, editing, proofreading, and creative conception for external marketing and communications materials supporting USCIS recruitment
  • Support stakeholder analyses and develop stakeholder personas and journey maps
  • Support stakeholder engagement approaches and initiatives
  • Develop multi-channel communications products for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in developing metrics to evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness
  • Prepare and lead internal and external stakeholder discussions, client meetings, and leadership briefings
  • Support multiple concurrent assignments while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery
  • Prepare briefing materials and concise summaries of assessments, evaluations, and plans to communicate program status and progress to senior leaders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; approved adjudication required prior to onboarding
  • Active Public Trust or Suitability preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, or a business-related field
  • Five (5) or more years of experience writing, editing, proofreading, and creative conception for marketing and communications materials intended for external audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
  • Experience consulting for or working in the DHS preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business
  • Ability to adapt quickly and develop successful professional relationships
