About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide enterprise integration and API solution design, development, and implementation using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Contribute to successful client engagements, technical delivery, and scalable, secure enterprise integrations
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Technical Architects, business analysts, client stakeholders, and delivery team members
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support MuleSoft APIs and integrations
  • Implement API-led connectivity using Experience, Process, and System APIs
  • Build real-time, event-driven, scheduled, and batch integrations across cloud, SaaS, legacy, database, and on-premises systems
  • Implement reusable error handling, logging, shared components, and common MuleSoft connectors
  • Implement API security and deploy MuleSoft applications across CloudHub, CloudHub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, or on-premises environments
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support MuleSoft applications using Anypoint Monitoring, Runtime Manager, logs, and observability tools
  • Participate in technical design, code reviews, deployments, defect resolution, and production support
  • Travel to client sites and Guidehouse locations as needed, up to 10%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in enterprise application integration, including hands-on MuleSoft development experience using Mule 4 and the Anypoint Platform; or ten (10) years of relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or an advanced degree
  • US Citizenship is contractually required
  • Must be willing to travel to client site and Guidehouse locations as needed
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting MuleSoft APIs and integrations
  • Strong experience with Mule 4, Anypoint Studio, DataWeave 2.0, APIKit, Exchange, API Manager, and Runtime Manager
  • Experience implementing API-led connectivity using Experience, Process, and System APIs
  • Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, RAML, OpenAPI, JSON, XML, XSD, and YAML
  • Experience building real-time, event-driven, scheduled, and batch integrations across cloud, SaaS, legacy, database, and on-premises systems
  • Strong DataWeave skills and experience with reusable error handling, logging, shared components, and common MuleSoft connectors
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, asynchronous messaging, routing, transformation, and orchestration
  • Experience implementing API security using OAuth 2.0, Client ID Enforcement, JWT, SSL/TLS, mutual TLS, and certificates
  • Experience deploying MuleSoft applications to CloudHub, CloudHub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, or on-premises environments
  • Experience with Git, Maven, CI/CD tools, and automated testing using MUnit
  • Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting MuleSoft applications using Anypoint Monitoring, Runtime Manager, logs, and observability tools
  • Understanding of API lifecycle management, governance, versioning, security, scalability, and integration best practices
  • Ability to participate in technical design, code reviews, deployments, defect resolution, and production support
  • Up to 10% travel may be required
  • Experience in a “Big 4” or equivalent established consulting firm and/or MuleSoft implementation partner is highly desired
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 certification is preferred
  • MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 2, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect, or MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect certification is highly desired
  • Experience with Federal Government, Department of Defense, or public-sector clients preferred
  • Experience delivering solutions in environments subject to federal security, compliance, and documentation requirements
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Hybrid-Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience with MuleSoft Runtime Fabric and container-based deployments
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, or other container orchestration platforms
  • Experience with Azure API Management, Apigee, AWS API Gateway, Kong, or other API management platforms
  • Experience integrating MuleSoft with Salesforce products, databases, legacy applications, SaaS platforms, third-party applications, and external web services
  • Experience with MuleSoft connectors, including HTTP, Database, File, SFTP, Salesforce, JMS, Web Service Consumer, and other enterprise connectors
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical teams, business stakeholders, and client leadership
