About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with clients, digital leaders, solutions architects, and technical/functional leads across Guidehouse digital teams and market segments
Support client projects and growth efforts and capabilities build-out
Support modernization-team technical challenges and demos
Build innovative solution prototypes using cloud architectures and software technologies
Design and engineer scalable, secure distributed systems using modern software technologies, Cloud Native and microservices architecture, containerization, and API-First design patterns
Design, build, test, and deploy resilient software products on AWS
Collaborate with UX designers, platform engineers, product owners, solution architects, and business analysts
Support solution architecture for proposal technical volumes, white papers, RFPs/RFIs, and thought leadership initiatives
Deliver cloud-based software products using CI/CD tooling and collaborate with DevSecOps teams
Design, build, test, and deploy custom applications in the AWS cloud
Handle customer requirements and engineer software solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder
Bachelor’s degree is required, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Minimum of six (6) years of prior relevant experience in full-stack application development
Minimum of three (3) years of experience with cloud application development on AWS
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
Experience implementing frontend and backend services for cloud-native software products
Experience with Django and Vue.JS, or specified alternatives: Flask, FastAPI, Falcon, or SQLAlchemy; React, Svelte, or Angular version 1.6 or higher
Ability to work autonomously and collaborate, mentor, help, and support team members
Ability to develop software products and solution prototypes and communicate complex design alternatives
In-depth understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile practices and principles
Experienced Agile practitioner able to plan and implement software products with agility
AWS Certified Developer certification is nice to have
Experience with Flask, Docker, EKS/Kubernetes, AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Elasticsearch, caching frameworks, Redis, Memcached, Amazon RDS for Postgres, and/or MongoDB is nice to have
AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is nice to have
Familiarity with AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM) and Model-View-Controller design patterns is required
Ability to design cloud-based software products conforming to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
Proficiency with contemporary CI/CD pipeline tooling
Ability to collaborate with development, operations, and security (DevSecOps) teams
Ability to design, build, test, and deploy software products on AWS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle customer requirements and engineer solutions
Travel required up to 10%
Clearance required: ability to obtain Public Trust
