About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work closely with clients, digital leaders, solutions architects, and technical/functional leads across Guidehouse digital teams and market segments
Support client projects, growth efforts, and capabilities build-out
Support technical challenges and demos as part of the modernization team
Build innovative solution prototypes using cloud architectures and software technologies
Perform solutions architecture and hands-on full-stack engineering of scalable, secure distributed systems
Design, build, test, and deploy high-value, operationally resilient software products on AWS
Satisfy functional and non-functional requirements
Collaborate with UX designers, platform engineers, product owners, solution architects, and business analysts
Develop software products and solution prototypes to validate technical solution strategies
Communicate and explain the pros and cons of complex design alternatives
Plan and implement software products using Agile and Scaled Agile practices
Provide solution architecture support for proposal technical volumes, white papers, RFPs/RFIs, and thought leadership initiatives
Deliver cloud-based software products using CI/CD tooling and collaborate with DevSecOps teams
Design, build, test, and deploy custom applications in the AWS cloud
Handle customer requirements and engineer solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder
A bachelor's degree is required
Minimum of SIX (6) years of prior relevant experience in full-stack application development
Minimum of THREE (3) years of experience with cloud applications development on AWS
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
Experience implementing frontend and backend services for cloud-native software products
Experience with Django and Vue.JS, or alternatives including Flask, FastAPI, Falcon, SQLAlchemy, React, Svelte, or Angular version 1.6 or higher
Ability to work autonomously and collaborate, mentor, help, and support team members
Ability to develop software products and solution prototypes and use prototypes to validate technical strategies
In-depth understanding and experience with Agile and Scaled Agile practices and principles
Experienced Agile practitioner able to plan and implement software products with agility
Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
AWS cloud development experience
Ability to design and build products conforming to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles
Proficiency with contemporary CI/CD pipeline tooling
Ability to collaborate with development, operations, and security (DevSecOps) teams
Ability to design, build, test, and deploy software products on AWS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle customer requirements and engineer solutions
Travel required up to 10%
Nice to have: AWS Certified Developer certification; Flask, Docker, EKS/Kubernetes, AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Elasticsearch, caching frameworks, Redis, Memcached, Amazon RDS for Postgres, MongoDB, AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification
