About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute integrated change communication strategies for modernization, transformation, and technology implementation efforts
- Design communications approaches that increase awareness, stakeholder readiness, user adoption, and sustained behavioral change
- Assess stakeholder impacts and tailor messaging across audiences
- Partner with change management, training, technical, business, executive, program leadership, and operational teams
- Develop communication plans covering stakeholder analysis, audience segmentation, key messages, channels, feedback mechanisms, risks, and success measures
- Advise executive leaders and develop leadership messages, talking points, presentations, briefing materials, toolkits, and stakeholder engagement materials
- Translate technical concepts, system changes, business process redesigns, policy changes, and operational impacts into audience-focused communications
- Create newsletters, implementation updates, readiness materials, FAQs, presentations, intranet content, videos, job aids, toolkits, and adoption campaigns
- Facilitate communication planning sessions, stakeholder workshops, leadership briefings, and readiness discussions
- Monitor stakeholder sentiment and communication effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Track communication activities, deliverables, engagement efforts, and adoption metrics
- Develop reports and dashboards on readiness, effectiveness, feedback, and adoption progress
- Support business development, internal Guidehouse initiatives, and mentoring junior team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; approved adjudication required before onboarding
- Bachelor's Degree; four years of additional professional experience may substitute for a Bachelor's
- Minimum of three years of experience in strategic communications, organizational change management, change communications, public affairs, communications consulting, public relations, or related fields
- Experience supporting modernization, digital transformation, technology implementation, organizational change, or large-scale program initiatives
- Ability to translate complex technical, operational, and organizational changes into clear communications for diverse stakeholders
- Experience developing executive communications and advising leadership on transformation-related communication strategies
- Experience supporting stakeholder engagement, workforce transition, organizational readiness, adoption, and change management activities
- Strong writing, editing, presentation development, and storytelling skills
- Experience developing multi-channel communication campaigns and adoption-focused communications products
- Ability to collaborate with executives, technical teams, program leadership, trainers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply
- Currently reside in the contiguous United States
