About the role
- Support consulting engagements focused on court modernization and judicial operations
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and discovery sessions with court staff, administrators, and IT teams
- Document current-state processes and develop future-state workflows aligned with client goals
- Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for system implementations
- Assist in the design and configuration of case management and justice technology platforms
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and testers to ensure solution alignment
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management activities
- Contribute to project documentation including business requirements, process maps, and training materials
- Maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams
- Travel to client sites and Guidehouse offices as required (up to 50%)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working directly with court systems (e.g., state courts, circuit courts, administrative offices of the courts)
- Experience gathering and documenting functional requirements for technology projects
- Strong understanding of judicial operations, workflows, and terminology
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and process mapping tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to travel to client sites and Guidehouse offices, primarily within the Columbia, SC market
- Must reside within 50 miles of Columbia, SC
- Experience supporting case management system implementations or justice technology upgrades (nice to have)
- Familiarity with South Carolina court structures and processes (nice to have)
- Master’s degree (MPP, MPA, MBA, or equivalent) (nice to have)
- Experience with business process redesign, stakeholder engagement, and change management (nice to have)
- Exposure to Agile or Waterfall project methodologies (nice to have)
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Visio, or similar platforms (nice to have)
