About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Business Analyst will be working on a project to implement capabilities for an enterprise financial software system and web application on an Agile product development team.
Analyze requirements, develop user stories, and work closely with stakeholders, UX designers, application architect, and developers to ensure technical and system requirements are accounted for.
Work closely with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to plan and organize Sprints.
Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, ultimately producing clear user stories, documentation, and other deliverables such as use cases, flow diagrams, architecture diagrams etc.
Facilitate discussions with the right stakeholders to clarify the scope.
Work closely with product owners and managers to convert business requirements use cases into actionable tasks for the development team.
Write high quality user stories and ensure stories are refined and pointed in a timely manner to enable planned milestones.
Lead and execute efforts to produce documentation related to system information architecture and processes which may include: technical requirements, functional specifications, data flow diagrams, high-level test cases, requirements traceability matrices, flow charts, wireframes/mockups, user stories, and use case documentation.
Conduct presentations and communicate product features to both technical and non-technical communities and aid in the coordination and communication of cross-team initiatives.
Pave and plan for technical project execution, tracking, presenting, and incorporating data-driven metrics to drive improvements, defining and recording current and future business processes and identifying potential improvements.
The position will require working closely with Program and Project Managers and Project Architect / Technical Lead.
Liaise with internal and external project stakeholders to help coordinate agile across the large program.
Work with Product Owner to ensure a groomed, quality Agile backlog.
Maintain project life-cycle documentation and tactical and strategic project tracking systems, primarily Atlassian Confluence, Jira, and Portfolio.
Prepare and deliver status updates, working sessions, and program area updates.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder.
Minimum of Two(2) to Four(4) or more years of experience as a Business Analyst working on agile software development projects.
Bachelor’s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
Solid understanding of Agile development life cycle and knowledge in both Agile and traditional project management.
Ability to communicate complex technical problems to a non-technical audience.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to maintain a big-picture vision while defining very detailed requirements.
Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, Visio or equivalent
