About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Business Analyst will be working on a project to implement capabilities for an enterprise financial software system and web application on an Agile product development team.
  • Analyze requirements, develop user stories, and work closely with stakeholders, UX designers, application architect, and developers to ensure technical and system requirements are accounted for.
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to plan and organize Sprints.
  • Critically review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, ultimately producing clear user stories, documentation, and other deliverables such as use cases, flow diagrams, architecture diagrams etc.
  • Facilitate discussions with the right stakeholders to clarify the scope.
  • Work closely with product owners and managers to convert business requirements use cases into actionable tasks for the development team.
  • Write high quality user stories and ensure stories are refined and pointed in a timely manner to enable planned milestones.
  • Lead and execute efforts to produce documentation related to system information architecture and processes which may include: technical requirements, functional specifications, data flow diagrams, high-level test cases, requirements traceability matrices, flow charts, wireframes/mockups, user stories, and use case documentation.
  • Conduct presentations and communicate product features to both technical and non-technical communities and aid in the coordination and communication of cross-team initiatives.
  • Pave and plan for technical project execution, tracking, presenting, and incorporating data-driven metrics to drive improvements, defining and recording current and future business processes and identifying potential improvements.
  • The position will require working closely with Program and Project Managers and Project Architect / Technical Lead.
  • Liaise with internal and external project stakeholders to help coordinate agile across the large program.
  • Work with Product Owner to ensure a groomed, quality Agile backlog.
  • Maintain project life-cycle documentation and tactical and strategic project tracking systems, primarily Atlassian Confluence, Jira, and Portfolio.
  • Prepare and deliver status updates, working sessions, and program area updates.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder.
  • Minimum of Two(2) to Four(4) or more years of experience as a Business Analyst working on agile software development projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Solid understanding of Agile development life cycle and knowledge in both Agile and traditional project management.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical problems to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain a big-picture vision while defining very detailed requirements.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, Visio or equivalent
