About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with preparation of RMF documentation including SSPs, control matrices, and POA&Ms under senior guidance.
Support audit evidence collection, organization, and tracking activities.
Maintain action logs, audit trackers, and status reports.
Participate in A&A and audit meetings and document meeting minutes.
Support maintenance of compliance and evidence repositories.
Assist with POA&M updates and remediation tracking activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of TWO (2) years of experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, audit support, or risk management.
Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY and maintain an active HHS/NIH clearance are preferred.
Foundational experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, audit support, or risk management.
Basic understanding of NIST RMF or federal cybersecurity concepts.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Ability to work in structured, process driven environments.
Willingness to learn and grow within federal cybersecurity programs.
Coursework or training in cybersecurity, information assurance, or IT would be nice to have.
Familiarity with NIST SP 800 53 control families would be nice to have.
Prior exposure to audits or compliance support activities would be nice to have.
Entry level certification (Security+, ITIL, or similar) would be nice to have.
