About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with preparation of RMF documentation including SSPs, control matrices, and POA&Ms under senior guidance.
  • Support audit evidence collection, organization, and tracking activities.
  • Maintain action logs, audit trackers, and status reports.
  • Participate in A&A and audit meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Support maintenance of compliance and evidence repositories.
  • Assist with POA&M updates and remediation tracking activities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of TWO (2) years of experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, audit support, or risk management.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY and maintain an active HHS/NIH clearance are preferred.
  • Foundational experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, audit support, or risk management.
  • Basic understanding of NIST RMF or federal cybersecurity concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in structured, process driven environments.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within federal cybersecurity programs.
  • Coursework or training in cybersecurity, information assurance, or IT would be nice to have.
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800 53 control families would be nice to have.
  • Prior exposure to audits or compliance support activities would be nice to have.
  • Entry level certification (Security+, ITIL, or similar) would be nice to have.
