About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • As a Senior Consultant in Guidehouse’s Commercial Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in delivering client engagements by analyzing problems, developing solutions, and supporting implementation efforts.
  • Support delivery of client engagements by executing discrete workstreams and producing high-quality, timely analyses and deliverables
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and process assessments (e.g., process mapping, control evaluation) to inform client recommendations
  • Develop clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and client-ready materials
  • Participate in client meetings, including working sessions and status updates, contributing insights and progress updates
  • Collaborate with team and engagement leadership to track deliverables, timelines, and risks
  • Support implementation of recommended solutions and operational improvements
  • Build foundational client relationships through consistent, professional engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3–5 years of experience in the banking industry or commercial financial services consulting
  • Experience supporting projects in one or more of the following areas: Operational risk and/or large bank compliance, Banking regulations and compliance, Risk and controls assessments, including process mapping
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing client-ready deliverables
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (incl Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage workstreams and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within and across teams
  • Ability to work onsite at client locations in New York City plus travel as needed
