About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guidehouse’s State Health team strives for a more resilient and sustainable community health infrastructure, guiding state and federal decision makers in program implementation, stakeholder engagement, and workforce optimization.
- We help state-run programs with infrastructure and regulatory compliance, waiver and state policy, monitoring, and operational effectiveness.
- Our experts assist clients in financial budgeting and reporting, rate development and value-based payment, supplemental payments, waiver neutrality, and cost sharing.
- Consultants support project teams both on client engagements (on and off-site) and internal projects.
- Responsibilities will include client and project management, data and information analysis, solution implementation and generation of project results.
- As a Consultant, a key function of your role will be to support the development and creation of quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams.
- You will gather and analyze data, identify gaps and trends, and make recommendations related to baseline performance and structure, as well as established best practices and benchmarks.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 1+ (ONE) years of overall work experience for a consultant
- Minimum of 3+ (THREE) years overall work experience for a senior consultant
- Minimum of 5+(FIVE) years of experience for a managing consultant
- No sponsorship is available for this position.
- Degree concentration in Business, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Health Management, Health Policy, Public Administration, Public Heath, Public Policy, or similar is preferred.
- Previous consulting experience is preferred
- Healthcare payer and/or education in health economics is strongly desired
- Strong knowledge of and application of healthcare research resources
- Understanding of market/financial analysis in context of healthcare payer needs
- Strong quantitative and organizational skills are a must.
- Must be able to demonstrate written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
