About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guidehouse is hiring an IT Project Manager to join one of our Department of State teams
  • Lead and enhance governance processes across the public diplomacy technology portfolio
  • Oversee the monitoring and continuous improvement of the IT governance lifecycle
  • Lead IT project management activities across the portfolio
  • Drive CPIC activities such as investment planning and performance tracking
  • Develop, refine, and report on metrics and key performance indicators
  • Coordinate requirements gathering sessions and document system/business requirements
  • Identify, assess, and manage project and portfolio-level risks
  • Support the integration of TBM practices to improve transparency into IT spend
  • Provide strategic insights to align projects with evolving organizational goals
  • Collaborate with government counterparts and cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field
  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience in IT Project Management roles, including managing complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives
  • Expertise in federal IT governance and CPIC processes
  • Background in Technical Business Management (TBM)
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Experience working with the Department of State
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams or large organizations
