About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As an Energy Providers Management Consultant, you will work alongside experienced professionals delivering consulting projects, both at client sites and within Guidehouse offices to deliver important engagements that drive tangible outcomes for our clients.
- Create and present high-quality deliverables that support essential project workstreams.
- Engage in research, analysis, documentation, and client-facing activities as part of a collaborative delivery team.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to drive impactful solutions for our clients.
- Contributing to innovative problem-solving to drive outcomes for clients, leveraging cutting-edge methodologies and tools.
- Conducting comprehensive research and analysis to support project recommendations and solutions, inform strategic decisions, and develop actionable insights.
- Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify issues, develop solutions, and make informed decisions that align with client goals.
- Preparing detailed, high-quality reports, presentations, and other documentation for client deliverables to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members.
- Effectively and regularly engaging with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and communicate solutions, fostering strong relationships.
- Working collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive team environment that encourages growth and innovation.
- Pursuing ongoing professional development, including attending training sessions, obtaining relevant certifications, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Assisting in project management tasks, such as scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time.

Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident, due to nature of client engagements
- Consultant II - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND One (1+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; Or Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND relevant energy/utilities internships or co-op experience
- Senior Consultant - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Three (3+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; Or Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Three (1+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience
- Manager/Managing Consultant - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Five (5+) plus years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; Or Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND Three (3+) plus year relevant post-graduation utilities work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity about the energy industry and a desire to make a tangible impact through consulting work
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while meeting respective deadlines
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
- Currently reside in the contiguous United States
