About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guidehouse supports the U.S. Department of Energy and its mission to ensure the grid delivers affordable, reliable, and secure energy.
- Work collaboratively with the client’s business operations team to support efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
- Lead the development of high-quality client deliverables that meet client requirements including standard operating procedures, governance documents, guidelines, etc.
- Work with diverse stakeholders to fully understand business requirements and interdependencies
- Lead the facilitation of client meetings, work groups, or interviews
- Work with stakeholders to help keep projects on-time and within budget
- Provide guidance, oversight, and coaching to other team members; mentor junior consultants, fostering a culture of learning, inclusion, and excellence
- Collaborate with the contract manager and Guidehouse leadership on day-to-day management, progress reporting, and project financials
- Support new business by contributing to account growth strategies and developing client relationships.
- Collaborate across Guidehouse practice areas to bring integrated solutions that combine strategy, technology, and operations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- A minimum of FIVE (5+) years of management consulting experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Must be able to work on site in Washington, DC
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in client service and team-based environments, especially when tackling unstructured problems
- Strong attention to detail, well organized and ability to self-prioritize multiple activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
