About the role

  • Guidehouse is currently seeking financial management professionals in support of our Department of Defense client.
  • These teammates will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy.
  • Our Guidehouse team will provide knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), Internal Control Over Financial Reporting (ICOFR), DoD financial management policies and procedures and DoD organizational structures.
  • Financial audit statements and audit readiness services.
  • Understanding of current trends in enhancing compliance with accounting and auditing standards within an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP).
  • Conduct research on exposure drafts and policy matters related to Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS, the “Yellow Book”), OMB Circular A-123, and other similar topics.

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • TEN (10) years of experience in financial management, including providing financial management support to government clients such as audit/audit readiness, audit remediation, internal controls over financial reporting, and process improvement, in alignment with DoW financial management policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and client-facing skills, with the ability to quickly synthesize information, learn new skills, apply multiple solution approaches, and lead client meetings and problem-solving efforts.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Management/Administration.
  • One or more professional certifications strongly preferred, such as CPA, CIA, PMP, CGFM, and/or CDFM.
