About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of public health programs, projects, and initiatives
  • Work with clients and partners to understand program needs, clarify objectives, and develop practical approaches
  • Conduct research, environmental scans, literature reviews, needs assessments, and qualitative or quantitative analyses
  • Analyze and synthesize scientific, policy, programmatic, and operational information
  • Develop program plans, work plans, implementation approaches, guidance, tools, and other operational resources
  • Track program goals, schedules, milestones, deliverables, performance measures, risks, and action items
  • Monitor program activities, identify implementation challenges, and recommend improvements
  • Support program evaluation, performance measurement, quality improvement, and analytical activities
  • Provide technical assistance and programmatic support to public health agencies, programs, and partner organizations
  • Plan and facilitate meetings, workgroups, interviews, focus groups, briefings, trainings, and stakeholder-engagement activities
  • Coordinate activities across government, public health, healthcare, community, and other stakeholder organizations
  • Prepare reports, executive briefings, presentations, meeting summaries, communication materials, and client deliverables
  • Translate complex information into clear, accessible, actionable content
  • Communicate progress, findings, risks, and recommendations to clients, project leadership, and team members
  • Review work products for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with client requirements
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and demonstrate quality, accountability, responsiveness, and client service
  • Perform additional public health programmatic, analytical, operational, or advisory responsibilities as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, health policy, health administration, epidemiology, social or behavioral sciences, biological sciences, public administration, public policy, or a related field
  • ONE (1) or more years of professional experience in Public Health
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"
  • Master’s degree in a listed or related field preferred
  • Ability to support multiple activities and produce accurate, timely, and well-organized work
  • Ability to research, analyze, synthesize, and communicate qualitative or quantitative information
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Experience supporting federal health clients or federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial public health agencies
  • Knowledge of public health systems, programs, policies, funding environments, and organizational structures
  • Experience providing technical assistance, implementation support, or capacity building to public health programs or partner organizations
  • Experience developing guidance, toolkits, reports, briefings, presentations, training materials, or other client-facing products
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and diverse organizations across the public health system
  • Relevant certification in public health, project management, program evaluation, process improvement, change management, or a related area
  • Proficiency with data analysis, visualization, survey, project management, or collaboration tools
