About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform scheduled diabetic eye exams and retinal screenings for members at provider practices
- Travel to provider practices and patient homes for scheduled eye exam appointments
- Operate company-provided retinal imaging equipment
- Support closure of eye exam and related quality gaps
- Complete company-provided training before conducting exams independently
- Maintain competency through ongoing training as needed
- Manage a daily eye exam appointment schedule
- Confirm appointments with practices and patients in advance
- Coordinate travel logistics
- Engage virtually with team members, internal partners, customers, providers, payers, and care teams on non-appointment days
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
- Support quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success
- Follow security policies and procedures to protect PHI, PII, and company intellectual property
Requirements
What you’ll need- Willingness and ability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices
- No prior eye exam or imaging experience required; full training and equipment provided
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Associate degree or greater in a related field
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding
- Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and multiple healthcare-related systems or applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet hard deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Required internet speed of at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
- Certified or licensed healthcare professional credential, such as CMA or LPN, is preferred
