About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform scheduled diabetic eye exams and retinal screenings for members at provider practices
Travel to provider practices and patient homes for scheduled eye exam appointments
Operate company-provided retinal imaging equipment
Support closure of eye exam and related quality gaps
Complete company-provided training on retinal imaging equipment and eye exam procedures before conducting exams independently
Maintain competency through ongoing training as needed
Manage a daily eye exam appointment schedule
Confirm appointments with practices and patients in advance
Coordinate travel logistics
Build and maintain relationships with co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
Engage virtually with team members and partners on non-appointment days
Perform duties supporting quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success

Requirements

What you’ll need

Willingness and ability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices
No prior eye exam or imaging experience required; full training and equipment provided
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Associate degree or greater in a related field
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and healthcare-related systems or applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet hard deadlines
Ability to collaborate effectively with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Employees must provide their own internet connection with at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
Compliance with security policies and procedures protecting PHI, PII, and company intellectual property
Certified or licensed healthcare professional credential, such as CMA or LPN, is desirable
