About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform scheduled diabetic eye exams and retinal screenings for members at provider practices
  • Travel to provider practices and patient homes for scheduled eye exam appointments
  • Operate company-provided retinal imaging equipment
  • Support closure of eye exam and related quality gaps
  • Complete company-provided training on retinal imaging equipment and eye exam procedures before conducting exams independently
  • Maintain competency through ongoing training as needed
  • Manage a daily eye exam appointment schedule
  • Confirm appointments with practices and patients in advance
  • Coordinate travel logistics
  • Build and maintain relationships with co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
  • Engage virtually with team members and partners on non-appointment days
  • Perform duties supporting quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Willingness and ability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices
  • No prior eye exam or imaging experience required; full training and equipment provided
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Associate degree or greater in a related field
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and healthcare-related systems or applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet hard deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Employees must provide their own internet connection with at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
  • Compliance with security policies and procedures protecting PHI, PII, and company intellectual property
  • Certified or licensed healthcare professional credential, such as CMA or LPN, is desirable
