About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform scheduled diabetic eye exams and retinal screenings for members at provider practices
Travel to provider practices and patient homes for scheduled eye exam appointments
Operate company-provided retinal imaging equipment
Support closure of eye exam and related quality gaps
Complete training on retinal imaging equipment and eye exam procedures before independently conducting exams
Maintain competency through ongoing training
Manage daily eye exam appointment schedules
Confirm appointments with practices and patients in advance
Coordinate travel logistics
Build and maintain working relationships with co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
Perform duties supporting quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success
Engage virtually with team members and partners on non-appointment days

Requirements

What you’ll need

Willingness and ability to travel daily, up to 100%, to provider practices
Must reside locally in the Houston, TX area
No prior eye exam or imaging experience required; full training and equipment provided
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Associate degree or greater in a related field
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and healthcare-related systems or applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet hard deadlines
Ability to collaborate effectively with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Employees provide their own internet connection with minimum speeds of 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
