About the role
- Own the design and implementation of complex Android features for fleet-managed tablets
- Architect and implement scalable UI and background functionality
- Design and maintain offline-first behaviors for low-connectivity environments
- Integrate Android applications with on-device AI components
- Lead performance optimization and stability improvements
- Establish testing strategies for reliability across diverse field conditions
- Lead integration with agent-based AI systems and architect voice interaction flows
- Design solutions to monitor connectivity state and device health
- Own Android-side integrations with REST APIs and define integration contracts
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing production Android applications
- Strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development practices
- Deep knowledge of Android lifecycle management, permissions, and background execution
- Expertise in architecting offline-first mobile solutions
- Strong experience integrating REST APIs and managing mobile-network interactions
- Proven ability to debug complex issues across application, OS, and network layers
- Experience optimizing performance for device-constrained environments
- Upper-intermediate English (written and spoken)
