About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Defend and grow market share for commercial glass mat roofing and wall products
- Launch innovative solutions for commercial building challenges
- Identify and build relationships with architects, consultants, building owners, system manufacturers, and other key influencers
- Develop and implement strategies to grow and defend market share
- Identify project opportunities using databases
- Establish market presence through industry associations and local relationships
- Collaborate through the sales process from product selection through installation
- Use Salesforce CRM for business collaboration and communication
- Serve as a technical product resource for commercial value-added roof and wall products
- Provide sales forecasts incorporating trends, competition, and market conditions in the assigned territory
- Collaborate with Marketing, Technical, and Sales team members within the Gypsum Business
- Work with autonomy and accountability as part of a national team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Three (3) or more years of technical sales experience
- Experience presenting technical presentations
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Valid US driver's license and good driving record
- Resident or willing to relocate to the Mid-Atlantic area, preferably Virginia, Maryland, or Pennsylvania
- Technical and specification sales experience around commercial building materials preferred
- Experience presenting AIA-accredited courses and educational sessions preferred
- Experience with commercial building enclosure design and construction practices preferred
- Industry credentials such as CDT, CCPR, or RRO preferred
- Experience using Salesforce as a sales enablement and collaboration tool preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, or a related field preferred
