About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a primary liaison between customers and internal and external partners, production operations, logistics, supply chain, and warehouses
Ensure customer needs are met with high quality and service
Enter orders daily in ERP systems and logistics portal
Validate pricing, quantities, and customer delivery expectations
Meet deadlines for order processing, scheduling, and warehouse delivery
Prioritize tasks and adapt quickly to challenges and opportunities
Interact with customers and sales representatives by phone and email to receive orders and manage product/specification changes
Collaborate cross-functionally with shipping, logistics, quality, accounting, and sales to facilitate order flow and communicate customer requirements
Create and offer best practices for process, productivity, and proficiency
Use Microsoft Office 365 and multiple systems/programs simultaneously

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with logistics customer service, scheduling, and shipping fundamentals
Experience with customer interactions face-to-face, by telephone, or electronically
Strong computer skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short lead times
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems such as PLEX, SAP, JDE, or Oracle is preferred
Experience with EDI order processing is preferred
Experience with 3PL distribution services, transportation, and logistics companies is preferred
Experience working with major customers such as Amazon, Walmart, or Costco is preferred
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Ability to work typically 8am–5pm Pacific Time, Monday–Friday, with overtime flexibility and rotating weekend coverage
Successful completion of a drug test may be required where permitted by state law
