About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee, manage, and organize all logistics at construction sites, including shipping and delivery of materials, laydown yard warehousing, inventory, material issuing, material transfers, and asset management
- Conduct regular audits and reporting to ensure site materials are accounted for and prevent construction delays
- Maintain communication with carriers and suppliers involved in shipping and delivery
- Ensure deliveries are accurate and execute shipment transactions to achieve 100% on-time shipment and order fill rate for assigned locations
- Oversee a small team supporting onsite logistics functions
- Partner with subcontractors performing post, racking, and electrical tasks to supply required materials
- Monitor sites and produce logistics reports
- Facilitate movement of deliveries efficiently between job sites, materials management, and pre-job activities
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and analytics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous construction experience
- Proficient Microsoft Office experience, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Previous logistics experience with understanding of planning, material management, and inventory planning/tracking systems
- Willingness to travel 100% of the time and work on construction sites
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing competing demands
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and walk on uneven terrain
- Not eligible for visa sponsorship
