About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the dedicated Field Application Engineer for a European Strategic Account, supporting customer engineering teams in France and across relevant European development sites
Drive technical demand creation by identifying new application opportunities, influencing design decisions, and promoting Molex connectivity, power distribution, and infrastructure solutions
Build differentiated technical relationships with customer engineering, R&D, and system architecture stakeholders
Work with Product Management teams and the Worldwide Account Manager to translate customer needs into growth plans and account strategies
Resolve technical and engineering barriers during design-in, development, and qualification phases
Identify opportunities in electrification, power distribution systems, data centre infrastructure, and other strategic customer programs
Develop, qualify, and manage a Salesforce pipeline of design-in opportunities
Provide customer insights, competitive intelligence, and application feedback to Product Management, Business Units, Advanced Development, and Sales teams
Collaborate with Molex FAEs and internal technical experts to share knowledge, align solutions, and accelerate customer success

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Experience in field application engineering, technical sales, product engineering, or customer-facing engineering within electronics, interconnect, electrification, power distribution, industrial automation, or related industrial markets
Ability to engage directly with customer engineering teams to understand applications, solve technical challenges, and influence design decisions
Experience collaborating across sales, engineering, product management, and global account teams while managing multiple priorities
Commercial understanding of demand creation, design wins, opportunity conversion, and profitable growth
Fluent communication skills in French and English
Willingness to travel approximately 60%
Experience within the electronics industry and/or manufacturing sector is advantageous
Experience supporting data centre infrastructure, electrification, power distribution, critical power, or industrial automation applications is advantageous
Experience using Salesforce and SAP is advantageous
Additional European language capabilities are advantageous
