About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist mills in keeping control systems operating safely, reliably, and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and support daily manufacturing operations
- Guide manufacturing operations on selecting and implementing process control technologies and strategies
- Work with local operations and process control teams to optimize existing control assets and process performance
- Design, program, and modify control strategies within existing control systems
- Pursue engineering solutions to resolve equipment deficiencies
- Support large and small capital projects as a corporate subject matter expert
- Partner with Consumer Products, Cellulose, and Containerboard continuous manufacturing operations across United States mills, focusing on Fiberline process areas
- Travel frequently to manufacturing sites
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical, Electrical, or Paper Science Engineering
- 5 or more years of professional experience working with DCS-based systems, including troubleshooting, configuration, and design
- Ability to travel 50–75%
- Experience working in the fiberline area of a pulp and paper mill
- 10 or more years of professional experience working with DCS-based control systems, including troubleshooting, configuration, and design
- Experience with Honeywell TDC and Experion or Emerson Delta-V
