About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the vision and execution of assigned core departmental duties
  • Lead and support training projects with national impact and multiple cross-functional partners
  • Identify projects that support Training department and Commercial team goals
  • Develop and implement training plans for the US Sales team role
  • Participate in Training team SOPs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address training needs aligned with department and company goals
  • Lead and develop assigned Regional Trainers through feedback gathering, message-training-plan development, pull-through training execution, effectiveness evaluation, and coaching
  • Work with identified sales representatives in the field at least once per quarter
  • Provide feedback to sales representatives and managers, including recommendations for coaching plans that influence behavior change
  • Deliver feedback to sales leadership and assessment scores for new hires in coordination with the Head of Training
  • Collaborate with the US Oncology Training Team
  • Develop, guide, and execute sustainment and new-hire training on product, patient journey, disease state, and sales skills
  • Build and implement curricula using podcasts, workshops, slide decks, and other training channels and modalities
  • Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve work efficiency, effectiveness, and quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4–6+ years of experience in oncology/oncology diagnostics, pharmaceutical, hospital-surgical sales, or key account management
  • 2+ years of oncology training experience, or at least 4 years of oncology experience and a minimum of 1 year of successful tenure at Guardant Health in lieu of the training experience requirement
  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience creating training plans and content using various modalities tailored to the audience
  • Experience tracking training effectiveness
  • Excellent project management skills, including managing simultaneous and complex projects with cross-functional teams and vendors
  • Training content development and delivery experience in the oncology biotechnology, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word
  • Ability to learn and implement AI
  • Ability to coach, inspire, and give clear feedback
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining teamwork and urgency to meet timelines
  • Self-directed, intrinsically motivated, and flexible in a changing environment
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and time-management skills
  • Exceptional human relations skills to coordinate tasks through other people
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Effective collaboration with colleagues at all organizational levels

  • Background screening including criminal history is required
