About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage all aspects of the alliance lifecycle, including strategic oversight and day-to-day operational activities for assigned partners
Plan, coordinate, and oversee contractual implementation activities between internal project teams and external partner stakeholders
Administer the partnership governance structure
Establish and lead cross-functional partnership teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve milestones and deliverables in accordance with the agreement
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication between organizations
Assess alliance health and proactively strengthen relationships at the individual and organizational levels
Advocate for partner needs by communicating priorities internally and ensuring they are addressed appropriately
Identify and resolve misaligned expectations between organizations
Escalate internal or external issues that may jeopardize partnership health or impact key milestones and deliverables
Develop an understanding of each partner's organizational culture and leverage those insights to improve collaboration and team effectiveness
Monitor partnership performance against key performance indicators, communicate results to internal stakeholders, and identify opportunities to create additional value from the alliance
Partner with leadership to develop, refine, and improve alliance management processes, tools, and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically bachelor’s with ~12+ years (or 8+ with master’s / 5+ with PhD / 3+ with PharmD/MD)
Advanced degree in Biology or Business (MS/PhD or MBA) preferred
A minimum of 5 years of work experience in partnerships or account management, preferably in the pharma or diagnostics space
Strong focus on analytical and problem solving, communication and organizational skills
Level of comfort with complex scientific concepts and corporate software (Ex. Microsoft applications, SalesForce, SmartSheets)
Experience with companion diagnostics partnership best practices and operating under GxP (GCP/GLP) environment preferred
AI & Digital Fluency: Demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of work.
Willing to travel for about ~25% of the time (Company meetings, partner meetings, conferences), depending on meeting requests.
