About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all aspects of the alliance lifecycle, including strategic oversight and day-to-day operational activities for assigned partners
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee contractual implementation activities between internal project teams and external partner stakeholders
- Administer the partnership governance structure
- Establish and lead cross-functional partnership teams, collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve milestones and deliverables in accordance with the agreement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring clear, timely, and effective communication between organizations
- Assess alliance health and proactively strengthen relationships at the individual and organizational levels
- Advocate for partner needs by communicating priorities internally and ensuring they are addressed appropriately
- Identify and resolve misaligned expectations between organizations
- Escalate internal or external issues that may jeopardize partnership health or impact key milestones and deliverables
- Develop an understanding of each partner's organizational culture and leverage those insights to improve collaboration and team effectiveness
- Monitor partnership performance against key performance indicators, communicate results to internal stakeholders, and identify opportunities to create additional value from the alliance
- Partner with leadership to develop, refine, and improve alliance management processes, tools, and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically bachelor’s with ~12+ years (or 8+ with master’s / 5+ with PhD / 3+ with PharmD/MD)
- Advanced degree in Biology or Business (MS/PhD or MBA) preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in partnerships or account management, preferably in the pharma or diagnostics space
- Strong focus on analytical and problem solving, communication and organizational skills
- Level of comfort with complex scientific concepts and corporate software (Ex. Microsoft applications, SalesForce, SmartSheets)
- Experience with companion diagnostics partnership best practices and operating under GxP (GCP/GLP) environment preferred
- AI & Digital Fluency: Demonstrate curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of work.
- Willing to travel for about ~25% of the time (Company meetings, partner meetings, conferences), depending on meeting requests.
