About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Promote the Shield™ colorectal cancer blood test to primary care healthcare providers
- Meet or exceed sales goals through prospecting, relationship-building, and national sales strategies
- Build provider relationships and gain commitment to adopt Shield for colorectal and other cancers
- Use challenger selling to understand provider needs and demonstrate improved patient outcomes and practice efficiency
- Educate and train primary care practices to support smooth Shield workflow integration
- Collaborate with clinical, marketing, and product teams on sales strategies and business plans
- Identify territory opportunities and develop collaborations with regional and local laboratories, including phlebotomy draw agreements
- Plan and execute launches of new cancer screening technologies
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback
- Share customer insights and opportunities with the Commercial Team
- Provide high-touch customer service and proactively resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing projects and deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 4 years of customer-facing healthcare sales experience in diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales; or minimum 2 years of such experience plus direct clinical patient-care experience as a registered nurse or physician assistant
- Proven track record of sales success and achievement
- Ability to engage in selling conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings
- Strong understanding of the healthcare provider landscape and ability to learn and apply technical product knowledge
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar
- Superior negotiation, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory and occasionally nationally for sales meetings
- Ability to critically evaluate and responsibly leverage AI-enabled tools in accordance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Background screening including criminal history required
- Preferred: Experience with diagnostic products, blood-based testing, cancer screening, primary care providers, product launches, and high-touch customer service
Benefits
Comp & perks- Base salary of $116,000–$133,000 annually
