About the role

  • Embed with stream-aligned teams in time-boxed engagements (6-12 weeks) to build capabilities across observability, CI/CD, and security domains
  • Coach teams on instrumenting code with logs, metrics, and traces
  • Guide teams in designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Octopus Deploy
  • Teach teams to integrate security scanning in pipelines, perform threat modeling, and implement secrets management
  • Measure and track team progress on key metrics (DORA metrics, observability maturity, security posture)

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with application observability tools (New Relic, Datadog, or similar)
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
  • Proven experience with Octopus Deploy for deployment automation and release orchestration
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of application security practices, including security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA)
