About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product
  • Understand the reimbursement/distribution landscape and refer customers to appropriate resources for reimbursement and distribution choices
  • Maintain knowledge and data regarding treatment of Lupus and Lupus Nephritis
  • Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers
  • Work within Compliance guidelines and GSK values
  • Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales
  • Develop and implement customer-specific strategies for rheumatologists, nephrologists, nurses, mid-levels, and business/office managers
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical, and other GSK functions
  • Effectively manage allocated resources
  • Travel regularly within the assigned Philadelphia South territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, potentially including overnight travel up to 20% in some territories
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle; driving is an essential function
  • Specialty Account Specialist: 5+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device experience
  • Senior Specialty Account Specialist: 12+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device experience
  • Preferred: experience with Buy & Bill or specialty pharmacy distribution
  • Preferred: expertise working with Payer Reimbursement Managers
  • Preferred: biologic, rare disease, immunology sales experience
