About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate the Digital Platforms & Tech Foundations (DPTF) strategy and align it with the overall Digital & Tech strategy
  • Build strategic relationships across technology, R&D, supply chain, commercial, medical, cybersecurity, risk and compliance functions
  • Lead cross-functional DPTF program management, reducing risk and managing dependencies
  • Scale agile delivery, facilitate agile release trains, improve ways of working, and embed DevOps practices and tooling
  • Lead and deliver the Digital & Tech Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments portfolio
  • Run a value- and agile-driven Portfolio Management Office covering governance, planning, reporting, change control, quality, risk management and KPIs
  • Govern DPTF business services, vendor contracts and financial operations
  • Act as Chief of Staff to the CTO, leading leadership meetings, special projects, objectives and measures
  • Collaborate with CFO, CISO, CDTO office, technology leaders, senior business leaders and external partners
  • Lead DPTF culture and engagement initiatives
  • Directly manage approximately 25 employees and coach direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Significant experience leading large-scale sourcing, technology, or business service delivery programs across multiple countries and regions
  • Experience managing and overseeing external suppliers, vendors, or service partners
  • Proven experience with financial management, budgeting, governance, and operational oversight
  • Experience partnering with senior executives, including C-suite leaders, and external professional services or audit firms
  • Background leading teams and delivering results within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience managing global teams across multiple geographic locations and cultures
  • Ability to lead and make decisions in fast-paced, business-critical environments
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Business, Technology, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience running an enterprise-scale Portfolio Management Office is preferred
  • Experience leading or supporting technology Mergers, Acquisitions or Divestment programs is preferred
  • Experience operating as Chief of Staff or in a similar advisory capacity is preferred
  • Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe is preferred
  • Experience within a global pharmaceutical, life sciences, or highly regulated organization is preferred
