About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the CTO’s AI transformation agenda and translate enterprise AI strategy into measurable business outcomes
  • Drive execution across AI engineering, automation, and platform teams
  • Manage portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, delivery governance, and value realization
  • Lead development and deployment of AI solutions, agents, and automation platforms
  • Establish enterprise standards, reusable architectures, and AI-first engineering practices
  • Accelerate AI adoption through enablement, education, and best practices
  • Lead enterprise RPA and intelligent automation capabilities
  • Own DevSecOps platforms, CI/CD, developer experience, security, compliance, and operational excellence
  • Converge traditional automation, AI, and platform engineering into a scalable operating model
  • Establish AI governance frameworks and partner with Security, Legal, Privacy, Quality, and Compliance teams
  • Champion Responsible AI, operational resilience, and enterprise risk management
  • Lead and grow a global team across AI Engineering, Automation, and Platform Engineering
  • Influence executive stakeholders and technology leaders
  • Represent GSK externally with strategic partners, technology providers, and industry forums

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years of progressive technology leadership experience
  • At least 5 years leading enterprise AI engineering, platform engineering, DevOps/DevSecOps, or intelligent automation organizations at Senior Director or equivalent level
  • Demonstrated ownership of enterprise AI and automation delivery at global scale with measurable business impact
  • Deep expertise in modern AI architecture and engineering, including LLMs, generative AI, agentic systems, classical ML, and MLOps/LLMOps
  • Experience running large-scale DevSecOps platforms, including CI/CD, secure-by-design pipelines, policy-as-code, supply chain security, and developer experience
  • Experience building and scaling enterprise RPA or intelligent automation capabilities
  • Experience defining frameworks, reference architectures, reusable AI assets, and golden paths
  • Strong record influencing executive stakeholders and translating technical strategies into business-aligned action
  • Experience leading delivery in regulated, mission-critical environments with governance, security, and risk requirements
  • Experience leading distributed teams across the US, UK, and India
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline preferred
  • Experience in global, highly regulated industries preferred
  • Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, foundation model platforms, retrieval and vector technologies, agent orchestration frameworks, and modern DevSecOps toolchains preferred
  • Experience with UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate preferred
  • Thought leadership through industry forums, publications, patents, or standards contributions preferred
