About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and cultivate a world-class team of biostatisticians, dedicated to advancing the field of biostatistics within Oncology Biostatistics in RWDMA.
  • Provide strategic guidance and biostatistical expertise to stakeholders using RWD in R&D, epidemiology, and post-approval studies.
  • Spearhead methodological development and innovation in areas such as causal inference, clinical outcomes assessment, longitudinal modeling, evidence synthesis, precision medicine, and the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Collaborate with leaders in other biostatistics teams and across R&D.
  • Oversee the preparation and dissemination of scientific publications, white papers, and presentations to communicate research findings to the scientific community.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ph.D. or M.S. in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in biostatistics within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academia, or healthcare industry, with a focus on real-world data.
  • Proven track record in leading teams and developing talent.
  • Expertise in methodologies relevant to real-world data, including causal inference, clinical outcomes assessment, predictive modeling, and evidence synthesis, with strong capabilities in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Extensive experience in statistical methods using RWD, with a record of publications contributing to the field of RWD.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with external partners.
