About the role

  • Generate volume and market share growth through the development and management of a designated region.
  • Lead, direct, and manage the activities of Account Managers within a specific geographical area.
  • Guide team to achieve established sales and business objectives.
  • Participate in national, regional, and local strategic meetings.
  • Provide guidance to comply with sales objectives and meet corporate forecasts.
  • Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, commercial operations, marketing, and other business units.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, and coach account managers.
  • Drive awareness, understanding, utilization, and sales of a launch product.
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Provide effective leadership to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and monitor local market conditions to build customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or related medical sales
  • Minimum 2 years of successful district/regional field management experience
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 70%, which will include overnight travel (majority of time will be spent in market)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience launching drug (preferred)
  • Preferred experience in Hepatology
  • Experience leading sales teams who engage customers in academic institution or IDN setting
  • Desirable understanding of market strategy and tactical mix
  • Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, Koren, Vietnamese, or Tagalog preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
