About the role
- Responsible for the development and execution of the US Medical Affairs Plan (UMAP) and the medical sections of the launch plan
- Develop and deliver Launch Readiness materials for launch assets, if applicable
- Ensure execution of medical tactics in collaboration with cross-functional Medical Matrix Team, including omnichannel activities, congresses, medical education and other relevant activities
- Execute advice seeking activities and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure all external insights are shared internally to inform medical strategy and clinical development
- Understand, interpret and integrate US environment needs and medical voice of the customer into medical plans
- Provide input into the design of Phase IIIB/IV studies and real-world evidence studies (RWE)
- Partner with Medical Communications and Training and Medical Information to serve as a strategic business partner for medical material development and communication plans
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of the delivery of scientific training plans
- Collaborate with field medical to lead/contribute to appropriate US scientific engagement between GSK and external communities to advance scientific and medical understanding
Requirements
- Advanced Scientific or Clinical Degree (e.g. PhD, PharmD, or MD)
- 5 + years’ experience in medical affairs
- Medical Pre-Launch and Launch experience
- Experience in multiple myeloma, with implementation of strategies specific to hematologic malignancies
- Prior experience working in a US Medical Affairs role
- Business Acumen - ability to analyze external environment and translate to strategy
- Customer focused - ability to evaluate and understand the needs of the patient and healthcare ecosystem and build a customer-focused plan
- Strong organizational, planning, and business acumen skills.
