About the role

  • Independently manage or support one or more categories/commodities across multiple countries requiring high cultural awareness and oversight of medium-to-low spend.
  • Develop and implement global or regional sourcing and category strategies that ensure supply security, quality, service, cost control and innovation.
  • Negotiate, execute and maintain supplier contracts to secure favourable commercial and compliance terms throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Lead strategic relationships with critical suppliers to drive cost-effectiveness, innovation and measurable value delivery.
  • Plan and lead projects to deliver savings and mitigate supply, quality or commercial risks.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal GSK stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business requirements and represent the category in strategic forums.
  • Manage the supply base using robust performance management (KPIs, reviews, remediation) and continuous improvement practices.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation and continuity plans to manage supply interruptions and operational disruptions.
  • Ensure all sourcing activity adheres to regulatory, compliance and risk requirements across complex GSK processes.
  • Champion and enforce procurement policies and governance across functions, linking sourcing execution to GSK’s broader strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Finance or Engineering.
  • 5–8 years operational Procurement experience, including work in regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sourcing and category strategies.
  • Experience influencing strategy and managing across multiple geographies and supply chains.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement tools: sourcing, quotation analysis, supplier review and supplier development.
  • Extensive contracting expertise (planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance); skilled in complex negotiations.
  • Experience in risk management and development of supply continuity and mitigation plans.
  • Good commercial and legal understanding, including cost benchmarking and financial audits with suppliers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
