About the role

  • Responsible for results of the geographic unit for the product line, both in terms of volume and quality
  • Provide visionary leadership to the sales team and support ongoing change initiatives
  • Act as a multiplier for continuous improvement and serve as a role model for constructive change and digitalization
  • Lead employees with a focus on potential-oriented development and sustainable individual performance management
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations
  • Manage costs to meet targets and budgets
  • Develop a strategic line plan and ensure its implementation
  • Coordinate content and resource planning with all relevant functional areas
  • Conduct performance management at individual and team levels, including talent management and succession planning
  • Continually improve the quality and capabilities of the sales team
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and senior-level decision-makers

Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in economics, life sciences, natural sciences or medicine
  • Qualification according to § 75 AMG (German Medicines Act) or equivalent university degree
  • Strong understanding of company strategy and the industry landscape
  • Proven management experience in a comparable sales role, such as a line manager or marketing manager in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent knowledge of the German healthcare system and its key opinion leaders/decision-makers
  • Excellent English language skills, including presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to operationalize strategy sustainably through regional managers
  • Ability to influence senior management on strategic and tactical marketing matters
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
