About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide scientific knowledge, business acumen, and customer engagement expertise to specialist customers in support of a GSK biologic product
- Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape and refer customers to appropriate resources within GSK guidelines
- Maintain knowledge of severe asthma therapeutic expertise and changing data
- Provide product educational programs and in-services to customers
- Work within compliance guidelines and GSK values
- Develop strategies and tactics to generate sales
- Develop and implement customer-specific strategies across account stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, and other GSK functions
- Manage allocated financial resources
- Respond to customer requests, inquiries, and needs
- Travel regularly to customer sites across the assigned northeastern Connecticut territory
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience or 2+ years of business-to-business sales experience
- Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including possible overnight and/or weekend travel
- Must live in the geography; no relocation assistance
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience selling into primary care, specialty clinics, or hospital systems preferred
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills preferred
- Ability to identify unique sales opportunities and perform tasks beyond designated responsibilities preferred
- Teamwork and leadership skills preferred
- Strong business planning skills and ability to multi-task preferred
- Respiratory product experience preferred but not necessary
- Familiarity with managed care plans, insurance formularies, and retail pharmacies preferred
