About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate management reports using tax systems to inform and support managerial decision-making;
  • Monitor, guide and correct, when necessary, the tax bookkeeping processes performed by other analysts to ensure deadlines are met and information consistency;
  • Verify and correct amounts recorded in tax ledgers using reports extracted from the systems to ensure accurate information;
  • Review and validate the filing of ancillary tax obligations using reports and provisions of tax legislation to ensure correct payment amounts, deadlines, and compliance, thereby avoiding charges to the Group;
  • Consult current tax legislation and updates using targeted websites to meet requirements in the Group's tax recording processes;
  • Perform activities related to ICMS and ICMS Tax Substitution (ICMS-ST), including legislative changes, calculations, assessments and payments;
  • Resolve questions from our clients and suppliers regarding tax calculations and provide the legal basis for transactions when requested;
  • Assist and guide auditors via e-mail, telephone, in-person contact and using data extracted from tax systems to validate information provided by accounting;
  • Develop, monitor, guide and review projects related to tax bookkeeping, using tax law provisions as parameters to implement process improvements and optimize results;
  • Perform other activities related to the position.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in progress or completed in Accounting, Law, Business Administration, Mathematics or areas related to finance;
  • Ability to interpret current legislation;
  • Review of input and output tax ledgers;
  • Analysis and submission of ancillary tax obligations;
  • Issuance of NF-e (electronic invoices);
  • Determination/assessment of taxes relevant to the tax area;
  • Reconciliations of tax assessments;
  • Knowledge of SAP / MASTERSAF systems.
