About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze the technical basis of projects by reviewing scopes, assumptions, estimates, alternatives and risks prior to approval decisions.
  • Identify information gaps, technical inconsistencies and poorly founded assumptions, challenging proposed solutions from internal departments, sites and suppliers.
  • Support decision-making by translating complex technical analyses into clear, objective recommendations.
  • Prepare executive summaries and technical reports for investment committees and approval forums.
  • Ensure the technical coherence of the portfolio by assessing adherence to industry guidelines and preventing overlaps, conflicts or overlooked dependencies between projects.
  • Connect engineering with operations, maintenance, procurement, finance, innovation and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment), ensuring proper assessment of operational impacts, risks and life-cycle costs.
  • Support the development and updating of technical roadmaps, as well as the evaluation of new technologies, suppliers and standardization opportunities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in industrial fields such as Production, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related disciplines.
  • Strong experience in industrial projects, with prior work in project engineering, maintenance, processes, operations, corporate engineering or related areas.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Intermediate English.
  • Availability to work in a hybrid 3x2 model in Joinville, SC.
  • Knowledge of methodologies such as stage-gate, risk management, WCM, Lean, TPM or operational excellence.
  • Hands-on knowledge of project portfolio management, CAPEX and technical-economic feasibility analysis.
  • Experience with technical specifications, layouts, suppliers and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to critically review technical scopes, quickly identifying incomplete, inconsistent or poorly supported points.
  • Ability to turn complex technical analyses into clear executive recommendations.
  • Critical thinking, systemic vision and technical independence.
  • Experience in technical evaluation of suppliers and industrial solutions.
  • Experience building technical roadmaps, standardizing equipment, layouts and specifications.
