About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the flow of import and export purchase orders, overseeing all stages of the operation through to delivery of the goods
- Monitor shipments, customs clearance procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with legislation and established deadlines
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, customs brokers, carriers and internal stakeholders to align operations
- Control operational costs, process financial entries and monitor payments related to foreign trade operations
- Identify and resolve operational incidents, proposing improvements to increase process efficiency
- Prepare KPIs and management reports, and keep systems and internal controls up to date
- Provide technical support and guidance to P.O. Management Assistants in day-to-day operational routines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in International Trade, International Relations, Logistics or related fields
- Proven experience in import and international trade operations
- Knowledge of customs legislation, special regimes and tax rules
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
- Analytical, organized and proactive profile, with good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
