About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Record accounting entries for card transactions (credit, debit, merchant advances, chargebacks)
- Reconcile accounting and financial accounts related to card operations
- Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards (CPC/IFRS, BACEN, CVM)
- Prepare management reports and variance analyses
- Support monthly and annual accounting close for the card portfolio
- Liaise with Risk, Treasury, Tax and Controllership teams
- Participate in automation projects, process improvements and new product initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Prior experience in card accounting, payment methods or financial institutions
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting standards (CPC/IFRS)
- Experience performing complex reconciliations and handling large volumes of data
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail and a risk/controls perspective
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance, Controllership or related fields (advantage)
- Experience with acquirers, sub-acquirers, fintechs or digital banks (advantage)
- Knowledge of ERP systems and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar) (advantage)
- English for reading regulations and technical materials (advantage)
- Previous involvement in automation, RPA or accounting process improvement projects (advantage)
